2025 venice biennale pavillion

Titled طنجرة الضغط or Pressure Cooker, the 2025 pavillion of the United Arab Emirates was curated by team member Azza Aboualam.  Aboualam brought holesum on to lead the technical aspects of the pavillion design/fabrication drawings as well as develop the performance modeling tool which allowed for the testing of greenhouse elements. Along with a team in the UAE consisting of Noor Nidal Hamdan and Nourhan Rahhal, holesum developed a modular system for construction that could work within the confines of Venice’s limited capacity.
