hillside home: extension
Upstate, New York
1,400 sqft total, expected completion some day


Hillside home was constructed to both house the family of one of the founding architects of holesum and serve as his home office and multiuse shop space. The original portion had only 500 sf of living space, this addition adds 900 sf of living area. Both dug into the hill and perched lightly above it, the house rambles up the hill to bring the user into the land. This extension along with the original project was largely constructed by studio co-founder Dimitri Brand.
